Coaches

Bourne Youth Girls Softball was created to provide a safe, fun, positive, supportive and competitive environment in which girls can learn and play softball. Our primary objective is to teach the fundamentals of the game of softball and to have the players grow progress as they move up through the various programs that the League has to offer.

We are always looking for interested, enthusiastic people to become coaches or assistant coaches. If you are interested in becoming a coach or assistant, you can check the appropriate box in your childs registration form, or contact a league official for more information. Please read the information about our programs to learn more about the time commitments and expectations for each level of play.

In the event that the League has more people interested in coaching than there are teams available, the final decision on who will be a head coach rests with the League's Board of Directors. Please note that all coaches and assistants will be subject to a CORI background check. Background checks are paid for by the league. Most coaches will welcome as much help as they can get. Any interested parties who are not awarded a team are encouraged to contact their child's coach to see how they might be able to help.

The following documents may be of interest to both current and prospective coaches. It is recommended that all coaches become familiar with the Coach Expectations document and the League Rules. It is also recommended that each coach distribute copies of the Parent Code of Conduct to his or her players's parents.
